Legislative
Report
A
voting record is, by definition, a document that can only at best
provide readers with an incomplete picture of how any legislator
demonstrates support or opposition to the legislative goals of the
Virginia State AFL-CIO.
The most indicative votes are the ones
taken in committee, as it is there that most legislation passes
or fails in the legislative process.
In making an endorsement recommendation,
affiliates and central body leaders are urged to carefully examine
this record and to place as much weight upon the candidate questionnaire
and interview as they do this document.
